University of Rhode Island Athletics Complex Renewal

Ellana served as the cost estimator on Populous’ design team to provide improvements to sections of the athletic department at the University of Rhode Island (URI). Projects included the replacement of the Meade Stadium East Grandstands, renovation of the outdoor athletics track, and repairs to the Tootell pool plus upgrades to the Beck baseball field, soccer field, softball field, and associated facilities. The project goals are to transform the student-athlete experience, offer enhanced fan experiences, and provide expanded community access.

URI is a Division I NCAA member and belongs to the Atlantic 10 Conference for all sports except football, which competes in the Colonial Athletic Association. The university also supports 17 club teams and a wide range of options for intramural competitions.
