SUNY Albany Physical Education Building Renovation

Albany, NY

University at Albany is a major public research university with over 17,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Ellana developed an SD cost estimate for this higher education renovation project to provide a second opinion on the building costs. The estimate was based on pre-bid submission documents designed by the awarded design team. The final step featured reconciling our estimate with the design team’s cost estimator.

The scope of work at the Physical Building included: 1) extensive renovation of the basement and 1st floor; 2) partial renovation of 2nd and 3rd floors; 3) gut renovation and expansion of the penthouse; 4) new roof; 5) complete exterior glazing replacement/façade renovation; 6) new underground tunnel; and 7) civil and required site work.
