Bridgewater State University Campus Master Plan

Bridgewater State University (BSU)’s 278-acre campus requires continuous and strategic investment in upgrading its existing buildings and physical facilities, reducing the backlog of deferred maintenance, and modernizing its infrastructure. The university is also committed to enhancing sustainability, reducing its carbon footprint, securing additional public and private resources, and leveraging external partnerships to meet the needs of our campus community. The Goody Clancy team was selected to renew BSU’s long-term master plan to take account of changing space needs and demands while establishing these strategic capital priorities.

Ellana served as cost estimator on this comprehensive master plan project that involved 212,720 SF of phased additions and renovations to a variety of one to four-story structures that includes historic buildings. Modernized office space and wellness are the focus across campus.

Program areas affected by the master plan include library/learning commons, interdisciplinary humanities department, administrative & academic areas, art center, innovation hub, and the Flight Training Center.
