William Lloyd Garrison House
Roxbury, MA
A designated National Historic Landmark, this former home is now part of the Emmanuel College campus. Perched along a ridge, with views of downtown Boston, the two-story Italianate house served as the residence of newspaper editor and abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison from 1864 to 1879.
Fronting the campus, along its eastern perimeter, is St. Monica’s Park, a small, terraced garden at the base of the ridge that includes a prominent outcrop of Roxbury Puddingstone and provides a wooded buffer between the property and the neighborhood.
Ellana provided cost estimating services for this one-acre landscaping project to improve and maintain the grounds. Zoning requirements were an integral part of the process. The project is divided into zones and our estimators aligned the estimate to the zones.
