Ossining Public Library Site Upgrades
Ossining, NY
Ossining Public Library has served the community for more than 150 years. Chartered as The Sing Sing Public Library in 1893, the library began as a collection of 700 books in the superintendent’s office before finding a permanent home on Croton Avenue in 1914. Instead of overhauling the original building, the town elected to build a new library on an adjacent lot which opened in 2007.
The library committed funds for the planning and design phases for needed repairs and improvements to the building’s infrastructure. SGH designed plans for site earthwork retention repairs and improvements to the existing library location. Ellana provided cost estimating services for this effort.
