Sea Beach Line Stations ADA Feasibility Studies

Sea Beach Line is served by the N train. The line begins on 59th Street in Manhattan and ends at Coney Island in Brooklyn. Ellana provided cost estimating services for a planning and engineering feasibility study focused on improving accessibility at five stations in Brooklyn: 18th Avenue, 20th Avenue, Bay Parkway, Kings Highway, and Avenue U.

The team worked on the following tasks: 1) establish baseline concepts for each station; 2) develop two alternative analyses and recommendations for each station (one alternate for Kings Highway Station); 3) property acquisition strategies; 4) develop budget-level cost estimates & construction schedules; and 5) conceptual engineering report.

Steps leading to the station entrance, restrooms, fare gates, agent booths, and sidewalks were studied for accessibility improvements.
