Providence, RI

The state of Rhode Island secured funds to design a new, permanent, and dedicated building for its State Archives, the home of the letters, photographs, and important state documents that form a record of Rhode Island’s rich history. The 28,405 SF facility will not only protect historical documents but also maximize tourism potential.

The new two-story building features exhibition gallery, records, meeting space, offices and conference rooms as well as back of house and support spaces. The project also includes a garage structure.

Ellana prepared cost estimates for the feasibility study which consisted of two options (Smith Street and State Street sites). A site at 111 Westminster is the third option and we also submitted a stage one estimate.
