Howard Houses is a New York City Housing Authority development located in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The development consists of ten residential buildings, featuring two distinct building typologies: a mid-rise angled building and a high-rise T-shaped building, both designed and constructed in 1954. The buildings encompass a total area of 771,366 SF and contain 815 residential units. In addition to the residential buildings, the development features a community center and daycare center.
Ellana served as cost estimator for this extensive renovation project. Our estimates included pricing and labor rates for vertical transportation systems, flooring, CCTV, life safety components, repointing & brickwork, windows, doors, hardware, light fixtures, and roofing materials.
