University of Massachusetts Lowell - 175 Cabot Street Laboratory Fit-Out

ELLANA provided a CD level final estimate for use in the procurement for this contract utilizing the facilities management company employed by UMass Lowell for this building. The cost needed to reflect direct construction work done to be done by the facilities manager and balance against leasing options available to the university.

The project consists of the renovation of approximately 2,600sf of existing laboratory space on the ground floor of the Wannalancit Building, at 175 Cabot Street. The scope included internal demolition, reconfiguration of the entire space (including new HVAC), and full specialty-lab outfitting. The primary goal was reorganizing the existing laboratory and providing a new temporary optics lab and adjacent support spaces.
