Ellana provided cost estimating services for a new 180,000-square-foot, 450-bed residence hall, arranged in clusters with enlarged lounges and study rooms, flexible spaces, a private courtyard and a dining facility with independent kitchen on the first floor. The building also features green roof infrastructure, storm water management, 275 short-and-long term bicycle parking spaces, with high performance heating and cooling, envelope, lighting and fixtures. The residence hall is certified LEED Platinum.

The team provided costs for all disciplines and building alternatives, performed value engineering to bring the constrained site into budget and reconciled with the construction manager from pre-schematic through early construction phases.
