Ellana provided conceptual design, schematic design, and design development estimates for the expansion at BMCC which includes:

Student Development Center - demolished, and reconfigured with private offices, workstations, meeting rooms, and storage spaces. Lighting and ceiling redesign as well as IT integration into the proposed layout will be factored into the scope cost estimate.

Existing sliding doors and window wall storefront - replaced with non-operable window wall to match the existing profile, but utilizing different mullion spacing to accommodate proposed demising of office space plan within.

The Cafeteria Seating Area, Servery, and Kitchen - renovated by utilizing a new efficient plan configuration, updated kitchen equipment and programmed area. Flexible seating options will be explored within the cafeteria, along with revisiting the areas currently used for computer stations, presentations, and TV viewing. Acoustic, Lighting and Information technology items are proposed to implement separate, flexible functional spaces for event planning, club gatherings and presentations. Vending and Coffee Café are reconceived as a sophisticated Tech Lounge with comfortable soft seating groups for casual, social, informal meeting spaces, and computer access stations.

Ground Floor Cold Prep Kitchen - Maximize the potential and refresh its equipment for optimization and efficiency.
