Rocket Playground Reconstruction

Rocket Playground honors famous rocket scientist Robert Hutchings Goddard. New York City acquired the property for Robert H. Goddard Junior High School in 1960, and an adjacent park and playground opened five years later. In 1985, the city renamed the outdoor area as Rocket Park and Playground.
Ellana prepared cost estimates for the renovation of this existing playground, which has not been updated since 2000. The most significant upgrade provides ADA handicapped access to the playground.
The scope of work encompassed 50,000 SF and included the playground, basketball court, landscaped area, site improvements including ramp, benches, fence repairs and replacement.
