VA Manhattan – Relocate 10S Ambulatory Surgery / Renovate 4N

Ellan provided cost estimating services (Schematic, Design Development, and 100% CD) for the relocation of 10S ambulatory surgery, renovating 4N, 15W and lobbies on 4th, 10th and 15th floors.   The project estimates were broken-down into (4)-  bid packages / phases. Each package had its own protection / sequence requirements.

The scope covered asbestos abatement, removals and protection of existing spaces. New construction included interior finishes for patient / recovery rooms and nurse stations. The electrical scope included new lighting and associated controls, new normal and emergency power as required by the program, new fire alarm and devices, new nurse call system, and re-programming, and empty conduit for new Tele/Data systems. The mechanical and plumbing scopes included a new vacuum system, new finned tube radiation system, and plumbing fixtures at new toilet rooms, and new fire protection to accommodate new architectural layout of rooms and ceilings.
