Ellana provided cost estimating services as part of the construction management team during pre-construction and construction phases of the project development. Project estimates are prepared at each phase of the design submission followed by reconciliation with the design team estimates and value engineering/cost studies estimates. The project includes two buildings and related site development. Medical & Research Translation Building is a new 255,000 sf 9-story building housing a mix of classrooms, labs, exam rooms and 300-seat auditorium. The 260,000 sf 10-story Bed Tower will accommodate 150 patient rooms, operating rooms, MRI rooms, public spaces, cafeteria, and facility loading dock. The Bed Tower is designed for future expansion up to 10 additional floors. The project in overall, includes combination of piles and mat foundations for buildings substructure, steel- framed structure, curtain wall exterior wall, and variety of mechanical/electrical and interior fit-out systems to serve the programs. The project is procured in phases, including early MRI relocation work, early civil preparation package, core & shell, and interior fit-out.
