Sussex County Family Courts and Parking Garages

The Tevebaugh Architecture team worked closely with Delaware Family Courts and project stakeholders during a crucial planning and feasibility study phase options to replace an existing 30,000 SF courthouse in Georgetown.

Ellana prepared a conceptual estimate for the Georgetown, DE Family Courts that included pricing for a standard spread footing foundation system, steel and concrete on metal deck structure, mixed rain screen, curtainwall, metal panel façade system, sitework, security, and public green spaces.

The new facility will provide two additional courtrooms, bringing the new total to eight. The new courtrooms more than double the amount of space available during proceedings, with 1,400 to 1,800 SF in each courtroom to support the diverse range of functions and family situations. Ellana also provided pricing for two parking garages: a new two-story 75,000 SF 334-space parking garage in Sussex County and the four-story, 144,00 SF structure in Kent County with 422 spaces.
