South Shore Vocational Technical High School
Hanover, MA
A new 250,720 GSF South Shore Vocational Technical School will serve as the leading educational institution and community resource for students who seek to explore, develop, and enhance career and technical skills and experiences. The new facility will accommodate 900 students. The project is necessary to address overcrowding and outdated building systems.
The new school will be built on the current athletic fields behind the existing building on Webster Street. The three-story design will house 14 career technical programs, including two new offerings in veterinary science and plumbing.
Students will benefit from updated vocational spaces, flexible learning areas, improved security, dining commons, multipurpose auditorium, and a gymnasium designed to resemble a barn. The existing school will be demolished after the new building opens.
Ellana provided cost estimating services for this K-12 project.
