Norris Square Park Renovation

Philadelphia, PA

Located in the Kensington area of North Philadelphia, the land for this 5.8-acre square was donated by the family of Isaac Norris as a public green and walk. Featuring eight radial walkways converging in the park’s center, Norris Square Park provides the neighborhood with public gathering space, open grass and courts for sports and recreation, and safe playgrounds for children. In addition, community organizations host workshops, weekly farm stands, movie nights, and theatrical performances within the boundaries of the park.

The scope of work features 30,000 SF of new landscape and updated amenities including two new playgrounds and basketball court as well as a central plaza. Ellana’s estimates included the pricing of specialty playground equipment, safety surfacing, pavement, pavers, site furnishings, a fully upgraded lighting package, and new drainage system.
