Tryst Fire Island Hotel

A complete gut and rehabilitation of a four-story hotel on Fire Island is underway. The aging building, formerly known as The Botel, on the western side of the Fire Island Pines harbor will be transformed into the 30-room Tryst Fire Island Hotel. The exterior of the 6,500 SF structure will be completely overhauled. The 30 guest rooms will be fully renovated, and an ensuite bathroom will be added to each room.

Challenges included developing unit pricing for a project only accessible by boat, a very tight site in a popular tourist destination, and understanding labor cost impacts of seasonal work.
