FDNY Marine 9 Repair Project

Located on a portion of the former U.S. Navy’s Homeport Pier, Company 9 supports FDNY’s new state-of-the-art fire boat, Firefighter 2, which provides rapid response capabilities for New York Harbor. The project is located within the Stapleton Waterfront, a 35-acre former Navy site undergoing major redevelopment.

Work includes repairs to an existing coated steel wave fence surrounding the pier which has been damaged by weather and marine forces. This assignment remediates the damage for a period of three to five years at which time a new system will be installed.

Ellana served as the cost estimator for this marine project. Our estimate includes pricing for structural steel elements, sheet pile protective coating, and pile bolts.
