Ellana provided project development and preliminary design cost estimate services for the design and engineering of the Staten Island Ferry’s fendering systems in Manhattan and Staten Island. Work during project development includes order-of-magnitude estimates for a minimum of ten viable alternatives, addressing construction market, cost factors, continued maintenance costs, and provision of estimates for the four preferred alternatives. Work during preliminary design includes refinement of the four alternatives including strengthening.
