SUNY Stony Brook - Life Sciences Building Mechanical Systems Upgrade

This project involved providing cost estimating services for the replacement of the four main AHUs and associated systems, replacement of closed-circuit industrial-fluid cooler and cooling tower, replacement of mechanical controls vacuum system, replacement of domestic water risers, and the rehab of existing environmental rooms. Associated interface with building management system (BMS), fire alarm and electrical systems were also included in the project.
Part of the State University of New York system, Stony Brook encompasses some 200 buildings on 1,600 acres and is considered one of the “flagship” campuses in the SUNY system.
