Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center
This project involves providing cost estimating services for a new facility for the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, a licensed, long-term care facility to be built in Yonkers, New York. The project comprises construction of anew 4-story 160,000 square feet building with one basement to house children’s rooms on the second, third, and fourth floors; classrooms and a learning facility on the ground floor; and fully-operational kitchen and support spaces located in the basement. This new building of 138 beds is to be located on 6.5 acres (283,275 square feet) in Westchester County and will replace the present Manhattan location.
The Center is a not-for-profit pediatric specialty nursing facility sponsored by the Sisters of Charity ofNew York, which has operated at its current leased location since 1988, and provides services to medically-fragile children and their families.
The Center has made every effort to extend its sense of responsibility to the world by designing a green, sustainable building. The Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center has been awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification for New Construction.
