Butler Hospital – New Inpatient & PAS Building
This project involves providing cost estimating services assisting the design team and ownership in project budget preparation and monitoring costs during design development. The project comprises the construction of a new 3-story building with a basement to house a combination of exam/triage areas on the first floor and single patient rooms on the upper floors. The project also includes site development with new incoming utilities to serve the building and associated paving and landscaping. The new inpatient pavilion will be connected to the existing hospital by a covered corridor.
Founded in 1844, Butler Hospital is Rhode Island’s only private, nonprofit psychiatric and substance abuse hospital for adults, adolescents, children, and seniors. Butler is affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is the flagship hospital for its department of psychiatry.
