Cost estimating services for the conversion of the James
A. Farley Post Office Building, a 1913 McKim Mead &
White landmark on the National Register of Historic
Places, as part of the renovation of the Penn Station
area. The facility’s components include USPS
operations; construction of a new train hall and
supporting facilities for Amtrak, MTA Long Island Rail
Road, and New Jersey Transit; exterior and interior
structural and architectural restoration; historic
restoration; a range of shopping, retail, and commercial
facilities totaling some 1,400,000 sf, and attendant
sitework. The planning document calls for a new Moynihan
Station within the Farley Post Office; rebuilding the
existing Penn Station to improve commuter flow; and
constructing a new Madison Square Garden within
Farley’s western Annex.
Redevelopment of jetBlue Terminals 5 and 6 at JFK International
Airport

Cost estimating support to the design team during the planning and design development stage of the proposed new jetBlue terminal that will integrate the iconic TWA Terminal 5 designed by Eero Saarinen with Terminal 6. Cost studies included various options for entering and exiting the terminal; terminal ingress/egress from the AirTrain; terminal exterior walls; various roof designs; drop-off areas; and design alternatives for the surrounding on-grade and elevated roadways.
