DESCRIPTION

ELLANA provided cost estimating services for feasibility studies, conceptual, and design development for the 4-story, below-grade theatre to be built in the new University Center building at Union Square. The project included cost studies for the various depths of the theatre and estimates for the full structural, mechanical, and the interior fit-out scope of work.

The new Center will provide students and faculty with much needed academic and social spaces within one building. The varied program includes an auditorium, the main university library, lecture halls, classrooms, laboratories, distant learning center, informal study spaces, a cafeteria, retail cafes, and a 608-bed dormitory with a fitness center. The building has been designed to earn at least LEED® Gold certification.
