1051 Riverside Drive,
Client/Architect: Perkins Eastman Owner: New York State Offi ce of General Services (NYSOGS) Design Team: Contract Duration: 2010 - Current Services Provided: Cost Management: cost estimating DESCRIPTION This project entails providing cost estimating services for the design of a new six-story, 60,000sf addition to the existing building. The design for the addition is a passive building with a minimal carbon footprint, and consists of a steel frame with poured in place concrete with a glass curtain wall. The design includes an outdoor roof terrace with a sun shading feature over the terrace. The site is primarily on rock, so, as a result, the foundation design calls for piles driven into rock to support the addition, requiring minimal excavation into the site to support the new facility. We began our services during the feasibility study stage of design, and we organized our cost estimate in a fashion that easily facilitated adjustments during the succeeding design phase to the building program, structure and exterior wall. The project’s design anticipates a LEED® Silver Certification. |
