Client: Applied Design Initiatives Owner: Associated Press Contract Duration: 2003-2005 Service Provided: DESCRIPTION ELLANA was hired by the Associated Press and the design team to perform project cost control services for the duration of the AP headquarters’ fast-track renovation project. Services included project cost estimating, contactor bid reviews, preparation of independent change-order estimates, review of contractors’ estimates, and negotiations. This project encompassed the total gut/rebuild of three 20,000-square-foot floors to accommodate offices of the Associated Press. The project scope included high-end interior finishes, associated mechanical and electrical replacements, and major system upgrades such as new fire alarm, new mechanical units, elevator replacement, and others. |
