Client: Forest City Ratner Companies Owner: Forest City Ratner Companies Contract Duration: 2004-2006 Service Provided: Cost Management: cost estimating DESCRIPTION ELLANA was retained by Forest City Ratner Companies to serve as independent cost consultant for cost management services during design development for a new 76-story, titanium-clad, 1.2 million-sf, mixed-use development designed by Frank Gehry Partners. Design development included one retail floor; a five-floor NYC School Construction Authority school; one floor of a New York University facility; residential rental and luxury condominium apartments; and a 2-story underground parking garage. Services included a full range of cost estimate preparation at each design milestone; costing of various design alternates; value engineering; allocation of the project costs among building users; participation in project meetings; and estimate reconciliations with the construction manager. |
